Cox engine assembly. Car, boat, or plane?

I have searched the net for a couple of days trying to find out what these assemblies came from. Crank shafts are splined, one has a car cylinder head, one has a grooved case, the other does not. Looks to be out of something radio controlled.

This slips off the end of the earth without even a guess? With the combined wisdom of the ages about all thing Cox I expected a bingo within the first five minutes. I must have something really rare and exotic here.
Not easy maybe. I have searched my self silly trying to pin this down. Don't make me go over to RC Groups.

The white plastic supports and the flywheel are off a Cox GTP Nissan/Indy/Stocker car.
The single fin glow head was for use with a heat sink that clamped around the top.
Looks like you just have a few parts. The real GTP back plate should be black with the webbed center supports like the Killer Bee back plate.
Interested in selling the white support with the control horn attached?

Thanks Jason, I thought it must be car related, no room to swing a prop/too heavy a structure with that set-up for an airplane. In my lifetime I have owned just about every car /trike model that Cox has put out except those that you mentioned.
Let me think about that support and I will PM you.

Good possibility that Jason will put it to use Bob.
It’s not that rare, there were a couple of RC Cox vans in the late 70’s that it could belong to.

Yes, as soon as Jason sends me his address it will be on it's way. I will use the other parts to make up something on the broken plate and use the left over parts to help make up another engine. As if I need another engine.
About 30 cleaned and mounted, another 25 or so to go. I don't know where they all came from. I think they multiply at night.

I have heard IAN say that before put them in a box and over night there is another in there in the morning 
The Cox collection is looking Good Bob . Its nice to have a hobby you can work on in the winter when there is snow on the ground !

Yeah, First, second, and third day of Spring. Mostly housebound and not liking it. Glad I had those engines to occupy my time. Got get it done itis though, the MG is calling and I will be giving all here a rest soon from my constant ramblings.
