Re: Baby Clown around
You can get em beam mount, this one came with a mount for like a Black Widow, going to stick a horseshoe backplate on it.
You could make this a beam mount with a little carpentry.

What size fuel tank is that?
Edit: Nevermind. I see you already said that.

Very Sharp. Should fly well with the KB.
So is the rustoleum fuel proof?

Re: Baby Clown around
I have used it a bunch. Seems fuelproof to me. Gotta let it set or it can get grimey.

Re: Baby Clown around
I believe it is fuel proof as long as the nitro content is lower than 10-15%. I cannot guarantee this.

I think fuel resistant may be a better description. Some colors seem to be more impervious than others and high nitro (>15%) fuel can cause some problems. Just keep raw fuel away if possible and clean after flying. Also, allowing the paint to "cure" before flying gives the surface a chance to harden.
BTW, that's my favorite color scheme -- yellow and black. It looks really good. Waiting for the maiden report.

That is a very nice looking plane. Wonder how long it'll run on 2/3 oz of fuel?

Re: Baby Clown around
The model was a ARF from Brodak the wing is monokote, I pulled the coating off the fuse. Black was all I could get.
Its CG is 1 1/4" behind wing leading edge, the plans say nothing about CG.

On the bench that engine really sucks down the fuel.

Re: Baby Clown around
From what I've seen over the years the Baby Clown is probably one of the better flying of that type of 1/2a kit, profile, built up wing, etc. You might look at a larger tank and maybe pressure?
