Ronald Valentine 010 spinner
Got my RV spinner for the 010 from ebay, nice little piece, much better looking than the stocker.

Re: Ronald Valentine 010 spinner
i'm looking at these too, but for the .049/.051
the question tho is weight......with FF 1/2A models, every gram counts........any idea what the spinner weighs in comparison to the Cox spinner?
don't need an exact weight msr'mnt, just a side by side feel would do.

Bernie's Gold .049 spinner and long bolt was 2.930 grams
The valentine plain spinner and prop stud was 3.941 grams on my electronic scale

That spinner makes the engine look faster just sitting there.

Re: Ronald Valentine 010 spinner
The Valentin spinner for 049 has plenty of meat to remove inside...most of the Cox spinners are relieved shallowly but I doubt the amount of materiel removed had much reduction in weight

Re: Ronald Valentine 010 spinner
Yeah there's room to mill it out, but at this size, you will probably loose 1/2 gram, not worth the effort.
Wish more aftermarket stuff was available for the 010, but we are few, and that means no profit/incentive for the manufacturers.
One thing to do is make our own.
I will be anodizing mine red.

Tasking off metal would risk un-balancing it for most of us guys with kludgy tools. I know some of you guys do have the tools and skill to do it properly.
