We have a bunch of glow plugs pictured below that we cannot identify. If possible, would anyone know the brands? I presume they are around current market value for glow plugs. The ducted fan unit is complete, and obviously we have information on it, but would like to know if anyone has an idea of market value on it?

1: Idle Bar
2: Idle Bar
3: Black Insulator, maybe Glo-Bee?
4: Idle Bar, Black Insulator, maybe Glo-Bee?
5: Idle Bar, Black Insulator

Any help is appreciated!

Matt

Looks to me that #1- #2 are Fox plugs. #1 being a Super Stunt plug while #2 is a standard R/C long. The others appear to be Glow Devil variants non idle bar etc. Ken

Matt, I purchased one of these ducted fan units for $40, on a buy it now price off of ebay. It was delivered for $43. It just so happens, that two other units were for sale around the same time. One went for a little more, the other sold for $25. I don't recall what the shipping was on the $25 one. I think $25 is a good deal for a unit like this. Hope this helps. Andy

Andy,

Thanks for the thoughts. I was able to dig up enough information on this and it has since been sold.

Duke,

We only had one of these units when we purchased a lot of parts from a modeler who was looking to get out of the hobby.

Currently, we are not allocating any resources toward a ducted fan project, and to be honest, I do not have very much experience with them.

No worries, I just like the idea of glow ducted fans instead of electric. I'll learn something about it someday.

That certainly makes sense, and I certainly like glow better from a personal (and professional) level as well.

These pop up on eBay every once in a while, and might be something to look into:
