(Want to Buy) Used Testors Sky Hawk GOT ONE THANKS TO TEE BEE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still another item on my Bucket List of stuff: Looking for a used Testors Skyhawk. Despite it's name, this was a Cherokee-Looking R/C RTF that was marketed in the 1960's. This example is on Ebay...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cox-Testors-Skyhawk-vintage-RC-RTF-airplane-from-the-1960s-NIB-and-unflown-/171045261375?pt=US_Radio_Control_Control_Line&hash=item27d317903f#
...but it's NIB (more or less) and I want a runner that I can mess with while keeping a clear conscience !
I can go around a hundred bucks or so depending on condition...don't need the original radio...just a workable airframe.
Thanks !!! Spending-My-Retirement-on-Toys Kim

Hey Kim,
Did you ever get your mits on one of these? I've got a pending deal on a pile of old stuff that supposedly includes a Testor's Skyhawk in some shape or form. I should be able to eyeball the situation next week.

Well, my morning sure took off like a rocket!!!!!!!
Fellow CEF Member and S.M.A.L.L. Fly-In Flyer, Troy (Tee Bee) remembered my old "Wanted" note about hoping to find a flyable Testor's Skyhawk...AND GOT ME ONE!!!!!!!!!!!
As a "Flash Back" Item, the model had been on my Bucket List for some time. Well, I got a note from Troy earlier today that he'd found one, so check that item off the old list!
Hope to do a Flying Post here in couple months !!!!
As a somewhat funny side-note---Testor's choice of calling the little plane a "Skyhawk" caused me some confusion in my early teens when, visiting the local airport, I would authoritatively point to a Piper Cherokee, and proclaim it to be a Skyhawk. Education has always been a rocky road for me...
From my "Skyhawk Scrapbook":
