Ebay E-checks

Ebay E-checks
I decided that I didn't want to use my Paypal balance and thought "Hey I'll use this E-Check thing"
So I finished with the payment screen and checked the status and it said "payment pending" figured that meant it needed to process still. Come to find out it can take 3-4 business days to process!!!!!
Now I look like a deadbeat to the seller. I did write a message to let him know what was going on.
I just wanted you guys to be aware of how that system works. I will not use it again.

Re: Ebay E-checks
Thanks for the tip. I usually use a credit card through Paypal. That's the safest way. I don't link my checking acct. to anything. I learned the hard way when someone tapped my debit card through Amazon one time. It took a month or so to file an investigation with the bank and get my money back.

Yeah, that's like the "Easy Pay" option or whatever they call it. I've had good luck so far with just shooting the money straight to the seller. Must be somebody making a buck somewhere with these "options", but don't know how...

Yeah that's what I normally do, but it didn't give me the option. So I thought hey I'll try the E-check thing.Kim wrote:Yeah, that's like the "Easy Pay" option or whatever they call it. Re: Ebay E-checks
Man, every time I see "payment pending" it a PITA with PayPal.
Once I had a typo in my payment address in eBays listing page, there was no such address so no payment. I even tried creating that address, no dice.
eBay copied the typo to all my listings, I shipped the goods out anyway and most paid me outside eBay but one never paid.
As for linking to my bank account, when you reach a certain dollar level of business with them they force you to link or they won't pay.
I found that out the hard way, made a large purchase ( real good deal) and they refused to pay.

Wow, I just got an eCheck as a seller, got to wait 5+ days to ship. That means more than one trip to PO. In the age of instant money transfers it seems to be severe backwardation.

Think of going to a doctor and sitting on you butt until two hours PAST your appointment time and with NO appologies offered. Been there, done that. Bet you have too.
A very parallel situation, no?
But what you gunna do about it 'cept chill?

My thoughts exactly. Why go from instant tranfers to E-checks that take days to process?crankbndr wrote:Wow, I just got an eCheck as a seller, got to wait 5+ days to ship. That means more than one trip to PO. In the age of instant money transfers it seems to be severe backwardation.
