When I was kid I flew indoors in a church gymnasium.

Problem was I got dizzy due short lines.

Result? I flew smack into a pillar damaging its plaster-board.

Consequence? I paid for the damage from my paper route money.

Lesson learned: Pretty obvious, huh? sunny

Lesson learned: "Thank the Lord" nothing worse happened... Laughing

The guy who owns that website and designed the foamy Gee Bee is Igor. He has a build thread on Stunthangar. Stunthangar must be down today. I've tried to get on the site all day. When I can get on I'll post a link to the thread, which includes plans and the electric motor and set up. He's a great guy and will help you with anything. Igor is on stunthangar often. He runs an indoor contest with these things, it's a big deal over there. I think he's in the Ukraine. I have the plans printed out and plan to build one someday.

I was online when SH crashed this morning. Suddenly all links quit working and it's still dead.

Shhh, Shh  I was poaching knowledge from the scale speedsters. The server site went down. Sparky says it just came back online 10 minutes ago.

But a crashed plane and the pilar damage wasn't the end of the story.

The church janitor came to inspect the damage and found misted castor vapor on the gym floor. He ordered me to pay for the damage as well as mop the slippery castor off floor AND further never allowed flying in the gym thereafter.

It may be funny now but it wasn't then. Laughing

I know, just giving you a bad time buddy. I've started gathering the materials for one of these indoor foamies. They move much slower than nitro and short lines. I'ts really cool though.

By the way. Swap meet on the 30th at Thun Field. You going? It would be nice to see you again.

In the early seventies, I came up with a idea, based on a magazine article to do a indoor .020 tethered pylon event. I designed a cool little .020 racer that had a drop away landing gear, flew really well, I remember we timed it and it did some thing like 72 or 73 mph, I remember that cause that's was the year '72 or '73.

I'll put in on the our calandar but can't say for certain Swaps are always good fun unless I get too generous with my $$$$$$$. Might have a g'kid or two in tow. Very Happy

Thanks for the reminder though.
