I found this ghost view of a tailless glider on RCG. The smart Russian guy who designed it made a device with nuts that can be moved to adjust the CG. It would also be possible to slide some lead over the threaded stud that can be blocked with 2 nuts.
The chap also made a very inventive fuse operated air brake.

I've always been intrigued by Russian technology. The evolution of the Mig series of fighter jets has always been amazing to me. They were basically the only manned aircraft capable of intercepting our Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird... although the Mig could not sustain the high-speeds for very long, and required engine replacement after such an encounter.. it was nonetheless an impressive feat for a fighter jet of that era.

Here's a vid of an interesting Russian aeronautical design that I'm surprised hasn't seen more application in civil use. It does have it's limitations... mostly because of having to be operated in coastal areas.. which is what basically killed the great seaplanes. I remember the first time I saw video of this behemoth... and it still fascinates me.

Yes, the Ekranoplans are very impressive, in particular the one that fires missiles while sailing.

There is a thread on RCG about RC versions with a lot of experimenting and designs going on. Have a look at the video on this page:

I just skimmed-over that thread this morning.. Pretty cool! I'll have to take a closer look later on. "Ground-Effect" vehicles are really interesting. Thanks Lieven.
