RR1 Gasket /Seal Question
Got my engine apart // When I try to run it before it would only run on prime // Have ck'ed the needle passage and all is clear , I did just replace the hose that had a small kink in it . Q is there a O ring that goes on the Ventura ? (I cant tell from looking if there was ! Thanks Eric And will it go together without the rotor catching the crank-pin??

Re: RR1 Gasket /Seal Question
I have never worked on one of those so I dont know but, it seems to me the crank pin would have to stick through the rod and engauge the hole in the rotory valve. Therefore I wouldnt think it would go together if not aligned. I would think there must be an oring on the backplate to ever be able to get a needle adjustment on it. The other thing is looking at the picture of the rotory valve, I cant see how it could work at all without another hole in it.

I see I'm going to have to dig up some pictures that went missing.

Re: RR1 Gasket /Seal Question
Thanks Admin , I had seen this before but nothing wrong with reminders , I have been making them awhile but have not tried the skewer . I have been using a sharp pair of small dikes and stretching the ring over the tube with a probe pick and my finger nail holding it in place. Haven't tried the floppy disc for reeds but need to just another way to cut back on expenses. Eric
