My Old Cox / Airtronics S-Tee

My Old Cox / Airtronics S-Tee
Greetings,
I ran across some old pics of my scratch built Cox / Airtronics S-Tee which was my second r/c plane, the first being a Q-Tee.
Powered by an .049 reedie it was white knuckle flying in 2 channel until the tank ran out then quiet exuberance as she glided back to safety.
As I have been rebuilding / servicing my horde of Cox engines I may have absorbed too much nitro through my skin, I am feeling a burning desire to build another Cox powered r/c project.
The only difference I would require is suggestions for a reliably throttled .049.
I know there several different ways of doing it & I already have a few to try but I'll leave those questions for another topic.
Regards,
Tony

Nice vintage Cox powered flyer. It must have been fun flying on a 2 channel radio!

Beautiful plane Tony...
As for throttling I would propose the exhaust throttle barrel as it goes with SPI and non-SPI cylinders both.It may not bring a very low idle rpm but that would be useless with a 049 reedie on relatively large plane anyways.
