Tee Dee / Killer Bee
RE: Tee Dee / Killer Bee
No question I'd keep the Tee Dee although it looks like a TD .049 in a TD .051 box.
The Killer Bee appears to be one of the last made by Cox as noted by standard Bee needle valve and plain anodized case.
You can tell if it has a KB cylinder by the larger lower exhaust port.
The black KB back plate should have a much larger port than a normal Bee.
With the back plate off you can see if it has a KB scalloped crankshaft..
Without the KB cylinder and crank, it is a dressed up Bee.
I have one just like it NIB also.
IMHO I'd keep the TD no matter what.....

I put a Killer Bee piston in a TD frame with a high performance crank.
Here is the first test flight:

Re: Tee Dee / Killer Bee
Thank you very much for the information .
The Tee Dee that I show in the box is a 051, only to change the carter body, since the original "red" color was cracked - broken - with crack just where it threads the venturi. I ordered the spare to Ex Model Engines, but there is only black. Beyond this detail, for what they comment there is the inglinaciĆ³n in favor of the Tee Dee, okay, it is interesting the opinions since both are powerful engines.
This Killer Bee has the back plate with the larger mouth, equal to the red one and also the exhaust opening, the lower one is bigger than the one above.
