Great items! You should add #4 Tee Dee piston and cylinders to your suggestion list, exactly like the original #4 cylinders. Should also add lightened pistons (not shortened, but just lightened) and also pre-2002 Killer Bee cylinders with the larger/lowered SPI exhaust port (also tapered if that is possible with what you have available).
Great new things!

John,
Once I have a chance to get some tanks anodized there will be a fully customized engine with the black stunt tank and red crankcase. Internals will probably be hc glow head, killer style crankshaft, modified cylinder, lightened piston.
I'm not sure on the 010 starter spring. When I order more springs I will check with the supplier and see what the cost is.
Nitro,
I'd love to see a report on how it runs!
Jacob,
Yes, this is the plan in regards to the cylinder. I already have the setup to only lighten the pistons pretty easily. Next step will be to build some tooling to modify the existing cylinders so they have the SPI without shortening the piston. Too many projects for tooling alone lol....but this one will be next.
On the tapered pistons, I know Cox used a special machine, so this probably isn't possible.

Re: 2012 Update: EX Model Engines
Matt,
If you ever put out a #4 or Venom cylinder with a tapered bore let me know. I will be good for between five and ten right off the bat. Also, please keep us posted on the full height lightened .049 pistons. Lightened full height .051 pistons would be great too. If you do not offer a .051 will you be willing to lighten a customer supplied .051 piston?
Happly New Year,
Bob

Bob,
The surestart cylinders are essentially the same porting as the Venom except the exhaust ports are cut differently negating the SPI. The plan would be to modify the surestart ones right now to open/lower the exhaust port. It wouldn't have the taper bore the Venom did.
The pistons are also ones I modify. Send me an email sales@exmodelengines.com and I will send you a few pistons I was playing with if you want to run some tests. Some are very thin. Too damn cold up here lol.
As far as making cylinder/pistons from scratch, its an idea, but remains to be seen.

Re: 2012 Update: EX Model Engines
Went to look at the Top-Flite Wood 7x4 Prop, it's listed as 7 x 4 but described as 7 x 7! I assume this to be a typo? I think 7" pitch would be a bit excessive on a .09!

I love the wooden prop, However i also noticed that the pitch would be a typo?
Re: 2012 Update: EX Model Engines
lol, the prop would probably rip itself apart with a 7" pitch!

That is one of my greatest engines it takes anything I throw at it.
