The simple beauty of nature..

I love photography.. and shooting photos in "general".. but sometimes I capture an image that takes my breath-away. I always shoot images using my camera's highest resolution setting (1200 x 1600 pixels) Last Spring, I saw for sale ($1/ea.) some colorful little boxes labeled "Flower Rocket" on a shelf at the local pharmacy..   I thought; what the heck.. let's buy one of each (3 types.. $3.00)



Each box had a coiled-"roll" of some type of organic peat-matting impregnated with seeds for growing 20+ different varieties of flowers. Just stick it in a pot or the ground, keep watered and feed occasionally were the instructions.

Planted in early June; they all sprouted quite early.. which was encouraging.. and have been growing vigorously. Lynne generally takes care of all our plants.. and said that these "Flower Rockets" just look like weeds...  



I assured her that these were NOT weeds.. and please continue to water/feed them..    We'd planted them in sterilized potting-soil.. which would not have any weed-seeds in it. I must admit.. they do look like weeds though.. and hadn't produced any "flower-buds" until last week. Two of the pots have buds.. and one produced its first tiny flower a few days ago.    so of course; I had to shoot a photo.. It's just a tiny little flower.. (1" round) but this one macro-shot made it worth the $3 spent...
