when I was a kid I used to fly Cox PT19 Trainers, the ones with the full metal gas tanks and open front fuselages. I modified mine by putting the throttle control sleeve on the engine, running the rod through the top motor mount hole (removing the mounting screw) and I mounted a bellcrank behind the engine on a 2 inch screw on the top of the fuselage in the area between the 2 control strings so that the third string would come out of a small hole in the side of the fuselage. Then I ran a third string in the middle of the two strings and attached it to the middle of the control handle. When I would pull the middle third string, it would open the throttle... It was COOL... I never took pics of it...I was just a kid....Perhaps some day in the future I may modify one of my 2 Trainers that I currently have.
