Nice plane. cheers Worried about flying? Shocked

I hadn't flown a CL since the early 1970's. Embarassed Then almost 30 years later, flew my Ringmaster Jr. a couple times late 1990's. Airplane Laid off again, then flew gain 15 years later. Flying It's like riding a bicycle, you never forget. bounce Skills come back very quickly. Cool

One thing to check prior to flight is the single hole elevator horn. A very bad design and is largely responsible for many wrecks. It will rotate around the single screw rather than operate the elevator. Seeing it's been sitting, the wood is compressed. It's good to remove it, wick some thin ca into the hole to harden the wood and when reinstalling, place a dot of epoxy under the horn after roughing it up. Not much footprint on those horns. The other thing is to move the control wire closest to the center of bellcrank until you get used to it if it's not already there.

Get out there and have some fun , it will come back really quick when she hits air! As Ken said and use the shorter spacing on your handle as in 2" will give you less over controlling Popcorn

Find a nice grass field and go for it. Tallish grass is softer. Both for the model and your dizzies!

Ok, about dizzies, you can practice circle walking for a few days before flying and things will go better.

Thank you everyone I will be sure to glue the control horn and use the shorter control on my handle. Pretty anxious about this since I've been rc for 24 years. Thanx again for all the input!

Nice looking plane. Thumbs Up I got back into it a couple of years ago after about a 45 year break.

I built a Skyray last summer, and got a few flights in.

I'm still waiting for the weather to get good enough to fly this year. Cold
Hopefully, I got some of the bugs fixed, and she'll fly for more than a minute, this year.

Good luck with yours Smile

Great job building the Sig Skyray, an a great looking level flight. It's not often one see's a "lefty" fly, welcome back to control line flying. I have a copy of Dick Sarpolus book, Control Line Model Aircraft. If you can find a copy of it, Dick shows the plans of his design called, The Zlin Akrobat Stunter, with a solid wing. I built this back in the 80's and flew it with an Ok Cub .074, on 42' lines. In the plans, he shows it with a Black Widow or Tee Dee engine. Glad you're having fun getting back into Control Line Flying, it's a great time with others that share your interest. Best to you.
