Although it is known that the Cox .020 Tee Dee had at least two different-sized cranks over the years (the splined end on some early versions was smaller), is this also the case for the Pee Wee?

Yes. They beefed it up on later engines. Not sure what date that was.

The Cox Pee Wee .020 actually had 3 different splined end sizes if you also include the heavy car crankshaft version which had a geared flywheel.

.133” for the early version. .155” for the later version. .164” for the car crankshaft.

Was it at the same time the crankcase nose got thicker too? Looking at the drive plates in your picture, it looks like the one with the bigger hole suits a thick-nose crankcase. If not, then there is even one more variation.
