Funny this came up again. I was in a similar situation with mine as well as the Reed was shot. I made one like the 3 pointed one from a floppy disk. It did indeed pass the blow and suck test, and am now waiting till hopefully next week to try out. My head as well was shot so I drilled and tapped it for a standard short plug.
