Jason and the Funny Car

I couldn't have finished/completed it without his help.  From the front axles to the fuel tank he has this thing covered.

Last of my winter projects.

Jason printed out axle brackets in several different axle diameters.  I tried to make the black-walls fit but I could not come up with the right combinations of bushings to do the job.  Not Jason's fault, weird hole for the axle on those, so I used the white walls as one of the printed axles fit perfectly.  And..........I like the funky look of the white walls....



A couple of brass washers and 4/40 nuts which screwed on tight give a much better track than the loosy goosy original wheels did.





Still need to trim the axles back to the nut and add a drop of c/a to secure, or I could use a jam nut.  Also may substitute 2/56 machine screws for the #2's presently installed.  

Only thing now is to add fuel and glow and we're ready to go..........sometime.  

Who needs the Argonauts or the golden fleece.
