Probably more of a collector can than anything, but would 70% nitro run or ruin a standard  Baby Bee or TD style engine?

The Gibault Mouse Racing doc refers to racing fuels with 60+% nitro content so 70% is not too out of line it seems..but I would recommend full castor in the lube of at least 20%..it remains a question though if the balance 10 % methanol sustains a seamless run e.g. keeping the glow head orange hot?

Good or not I would buy for the cool factor...and make an offer for all the cans of 5.56 below.....grin....edit in poo....5.56 blank ammo...no want that dirty crap

not certain if 70% is the vitamin N.....may be the false ad is really the Methanol %...then 20+% oil so 10% or less N.  But I was overseas a lot so do not know what all RACING fuels you could buy back in the day...Missile Mist is what we all just had to have and it was not really That  high Nitro...25% or 35% Nitro I don't remember

I do know as you get much above 45% Nitro you need other additives to get the blend to mix and stay mixed...PolyPropylene is one, there are others.... Older high nitro fuels used to smell like KiWi shoe polish ---poly prop was what make than distinctive smell....Brodak used to sell pints of PolyProp...sadly no more

I've run 70% nitro in most of my TD's and Black Widows. Despite what many say that it will degrade performance quickly that's a bit of a myth. The design of the TD crank is a bit flawed as it has a very square cutout which in turn fractures across the machined cut. The Bee's usually break the pin off of the crank. Nowadays though, speed events mandate 10% nitro.

I started typing a post the other day that Space Age Fuels used to package Davis Diesel fuels. It would have been a long time ago. Low and behold I run into this on CL today.

How’s that for Karma?? Pretty slick I’d say. Sent him a request for a quart or two, he replied He wants to sell it as a lot. Sorry, I say. I only have one 049 Diesel conversion head, so that would be about a 12 lifetimes of supply! Still think it’s cool that the cans match .
