Decided to use up some spare left over parts from my last build and did a 1/2A F8 Bearcat scratch build. First flight today.  It flew well but I had trouble getting the engine to wind up.Scratch built F8 Bearcat F8_bea10

Bravo! Looks really good. Scratch-built from a 3-view, or plans?
Can you describe your wing construction? Length, wingspan?
Type of finish? That last one is the most important to me.
Thanks in advance.

The wingspan is 23" the length less engine is 12" The ribs are all the same length. each is curved on the top and flat on the bottom. it's kind of built with what I had on hand. Here is a couple of shots as I was working on it. The finish is just paper on the wing. It's not a great finish but it looks fine going in a circle!  lol!
