My son and I took the Sioux out this past weekend. Temps were hot as can be making it not very enjoyable. In addition, I got two 1/2A combat planes out with brand new Norvel's on them and one is pretty down on power. It made combat not very fun due to the fact I didn't bring any backup planes. I really haven't had much of a chance to see what's going on with it. I know I had issues with it early on. Unfortunately, not a lot of excitement in the video. Watching paint dry is probably more entertaining.\

As for the Sioux, we did some things since the last flight. We went with a 7x3 Rev-Up prop which seems to be working real well. In fact a little too well. I took out the slight warp on the outboard tip of the wing. While this sounds good, I should've left it as it would immediately spiral down in a right circle. First flight she goes off and I added rudder to see if I could get a more right handed induced turn. Rudder has more impact on takeoff opposed to glide. You can see the plane goes hard into a left handed banking turn, doesn't gain altitude and hits the ground. No damage and we took out the rudder. My son launches and now the prop is overpowering the plane. It goes fast into a spiral and begins doing loops. Now I need more downthrust which I didn't have in at the time and the loops start leaning out the engine. Not only is it running too long, it's leaning going even faster. Well at around 350 ft it levels out and flies away. My son went on the trek to find it. It flew into a 3' high soybean field. I did find the plane. It was 3/4 of a mile away atop of the soybeans sitting on it's gear. WOOO HOOO!! because I was getting a bit mad.

Hey, cool. Dan was there. The flea fright has a good glide. The motor run makes it more thrilling!!!!

I've been running it as a diesel. My son is quite determined to get it working well which he has. I have to say I do enjoy it as a diesel but unlike glow it's so darn inconsistent. We missed the sweet spot by just a tad and it was a little lean so off into the blue it went. I was pretty concerned when my son was saying it's looping. Dan is the best. I've known him for nearly 40 years.

I brought out the Dakota for it's first flight and it didn't go well. The placement of the eyedropper was slightly high causing siphoning into the engine. Due to the fact the OK Cub is inverted, the case would flood and lock up. I burned a prime first and then quickly filled the dropper which got it running. I launched and the Dakota banked too hard left and spiraled in like the Sioux. I don't know why it did this. I will try again this weekend with a touch of clay on the outboard wing to correct. I cracked the leading edge a bit but nothing some CA couldn't fix. I really need to start trying some R/C with rudder only. It's that or start buying a timer for fuel and for the dethermalizer.
