I am glad most sellers of old dirty cox in 2 to 22 engine lots do not realize the metal back plates are worth more than a whole grungy engine

AAHHHH! Lucky you! I had been watching those two lots on the sellers own auction site. They were to lower the price each month until the item sells. He never lowered the prices, month after month. Them puts them up on EBay....at a discounted price, and they were gone....At least I know they went to a good home! Congratulations Jason!
He still has some Choo Choo trains and a “lot” of Old Dirty Cox engine. He won’t respond to my e-mails so this lot is probably gonna show up on E bay soon:
