But I do love the lines of this thing.

Second half of Mark's flea market buy. $15 it's a keeper.  Historically significant. Mahogany spars, block balsa, pretty basic. But pole flying?

Had to picture instructions in sections, scanned it, file too large to single post here.

I'm a big O&R fan. I have a small collection and I enjoy them. Gutless as can be but they start and run steady. I keep wanting to build a fairly sizeable free flight plane for one. All of mine are totally complete with original needle valves and timers etc. Usually, you find them molested with missing prop washers.

I have the glow plug version of the .29 Ken, I have a sparker .23 around someplace but I can't find it.  Seems I read where O&R was the first model engine manufacturer to cast the displacement size into their engines.  Darn, just thought, I have an O&R .049 with the shield too, can't find it either.  One of my favorites, maybe in the display case down stairs.

A little nasty, I should run it and then clean it up.

It must have been fun way back flying that Baby Shark with a 35' to 50' single line attached to the end of a fishing pole.

Instructions say to add rudder deflection and experiment with the elevator until it fly's off the ground.  I would have liked to have been there.  Many crashes I would think.  Sad for such a beautiful design.  If I were back in my passion days for this stuff, I would have built one in standard control line.

BTW, got a kick out of the spelling a grammar errors in the instructions. Likely typed on an old Smith-Corona with no spell/grammar check. I would have been lost. Smile
