My LHS has 35% car fuel with a 9% oil content, how much castor should I add to make this fuel usable in?a Tee dee .049? A second question, what is the formula to calculate the additional amount so I can calculate the correct amount for a different blend if necessary

If you want to use arithmetic you need to figure percentages of total volume. If you add 3 or 4 oz caster per qt. should be fine.

A really good fuel/oil calculator is available that allows for mixing two fuels, and takes into account synthetic/castor blends. Play the calculator with only one fuel by using the same numbers in both fuel "spots." I'll let the webpage guide you:
