Have a few of the lidl gliders waiting for conversion.
Saw a few clips online of cox powered versions.
Anyone here done that already?

No, I've seen a number of them on You-Tube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUWQkNxdRGg
I tried to buy some but was told they are no set up for "mail order" We have ALDI stores in Michigan, no LIDI..
Playtive toys sold thru LIDI. Where did you get yours?

got a loal lidl store
I got them from lidl here in town.
The gliders are also sold by other companies the "lidl glider group" on facebook has some info on that.
In the states there used to be a "Air Hogs Titan Glider" polystyrene so less durable but still a good base for conversion projects.

Re: lidl glider cox edition?
tink i used the free flight air hog one Not that red one à big wite foamy plane cool thing To fly and for very very cheap i used a litle norvel engine mount on the top of the fuselage I had cut a part of the fuselage and half of the prop passed in this slot a part of the air which leaves by a hole under the plane in this opening in front and behind the prop was made like a nozzle of jet Carved inside the fuselage a little The fact that the prop passed through this opening made a particular cool sound and giving sort of lift wit speed as the air exit under the fuselage bely I will try to draw approximately the principle illustrated to explain well what I mean Unfortunately I tink i do not have a photo of this modified aircraft, only have left the wingcmulder wrote:Have a few of the lidl gliders waiting for conversion.

They look excellent. Never fails to amaze me the ideas modellers have and the innovation shown to make stuff do what it was never intended to do. All these great ideas to try out, Im going to have to live to be very old to give them all a go.
