Youvenko 1/2a wings wanted
Hey fellas, Im interested in finding one or two Youvenko or very similar 1\2a wings. I recently had a friend give me a gently wrinkled .25 size one and am really keen on finding 1\2a sized ones for this spring.

Unless you have a high powered ball bearing .049 or .061, you won't be able to fly the plane. My Yuvenko is current and it's wingspan is 37" tip to tip with a chord root of 11". This is larger than my old .15 sized combat planes. A TD won't effectively fly this plane and it won't balance it without tons of nose weight. Even a TD .09 won't balance it, it's close though.
These planes are indeed neat, they fly well but can be twitchy if you never flew them before. Hitting the ground doesn't usually result in a go back up and fly situation. The larger models do better than these do.
I show a Mezjlik 1/2A combat wing as well. These were the best in my opinion and have been non existent for at least 10 years or better. A TD will fly one of these. The span is 30" with a 9" root. I fly mine with a VA MKII and it's a fast flying plane. I need some warming up before I go out and fly this one.
This is my Yuvenko, I had my outboard leading edge completely removed on it's first outing. I had to do some major repairs on this one but it's flying pretty well now.

That is an awesome looking wing Ken. It looks very much like the combat wings used here in Oz a lot. People import them completely built on packs of ten. A friend is trying to get my to join a group and buy a couple for my OS 15. I think he said they are from Ukrainia as couldnt get them for a while probably due to the war. But packs of ten pre completely built work out very cheap per plane that way.

I got my Yuvenko from Yaro here in Canada but he moved back to Russia so that is the end of that. Not sure of the suppliers now. There is a site F2ABC that may have something if the import ban is not in effect. The Core House used to make one. Also there is a Sonic Chicken that is about the same. http://flyinglines.org/buzz.sonicchicken.html I think foam ones may be or can be stronger. IDK Hopefully it is ok to send stuff for another site. This one isn't mine,
Just a pic I had from the Nats quite a few years ago.

The Li'l Hacker II by Core House could be what you want. Contact Phil Cartier to get the wings. His website is not up, he let it go a good while ago. He had a stroke a while back which slowed him down, but I believe he still ships cores. He may have some Li'l Hacker II wings ready to ship. I bought two wing set from him and was happy with his work. Best way to contact him I believe is to post on his manufacturer's page on Stunthangar: Core House

edit: Here's a quote from one of Phil's posts,."Right now, the best way is simply call and leave a message on the phone- 717-566-3810. It has an answering machine attached. It can hold up to 5-10 short messages. Just leave a phone number and name and address. A good old last resort is a post card or short letter."
