Earth Day 2023
Earth Day 2023
and we are getting the first rain in weeks. Very welcome, living in the middle of a forest on a dead-end road, one way in, one way out we dread forest fires.
I remember one of the first Earth Days. In the Navy I was assigned about 20 sailors and given a section of the Naval base at Newport Rhode Island to clean up. Area was right at a rocky shore line. To set a good example "lead by example" I took a couple of sailors and headed for the roughest part covered by vines. Two days later I was covered by posion ivy rash.
So much for Earth Day! But, I am a tree hugger and watch my carbon footprint carefully.

You and I Eric...........true earth guys.
When the apocalypse comes and everyone else is starving, we will still be digging radishes.
