Historic Aircraft and engines
This is nothing to do with models, being a film, taken in 1915 & 1918, of a Swedish aircraft factory. It's one of the best quality early aviation films I've seen, and includes a fascinating view of how rotary engines were built and tested. Watch for the inspector testing the balance of a 4-bladed prop, unbelievable!
Also interesting as a view of a factory MANY years before Health & Safety was thought of!

That's fascinating. I wish I could download it. The precision machinery to build the engines led to a whole lot of new innovative tools and methods. Smart people. I used to think we grew smarter with generations, but I'm not so sure about that. Learning to fly in the early days was quite risky too.
