I love the photo Robert, reminds me of some of the balsa models that I have bought in the past.

Kim gives his lost causes "Viking funerals".

Thanks Bob, You’re the first person I thought of when I found it Very Happy ….. It truly was beyond hope….. What wood was left was spongy and mushy…. I think the only reason the fuse longerons sort of survived is I remember substituting bass in place of the balsa….I did save its wheels to live on to another flyer one of these days….

A great expectation, And yours turned out very nice….. My entire kit collection consists of two Guillows model, Yours makes me want to start one….

Kind of embarrassed to show this ,  A 3/4 size replica (33” span) of Dick Korda’s 1939 Wakefield winner….. It was in a box in one of my Dad’s barn’s, I had forgotten all about it…. Learned alot about rubber FF from this model…… It had a single blade folding prop….I have a photo somewhere of my son watching it circle overhead when he was about five…. He’s 38 now….Guillows Piper Chrokee Rubber Powered - Page 2 21f85410
.The plan survived, Maybe I’ll make another one of these days …
Took a couple of photos and gave it a dignified disposal….

Beautiful photograph! Reminds of memories!
