Direction of rotation
Hello . Just wondering about the direction of rotation of the Testors 049 engine. The Cox 049 will turn either direction equally well. I was hoping to hear the same thing about the Testors 049. Any information that you have about this will certainly be Highly appreciated. Thanks. Mark

Re: Direction of rotation
Mark, the front rotary valve Testors and Wen-Mac.049's are one-way, just like the Medallions and Tee Dee's, with or without the Rotomatic Starter.
The reed valve ones, the 8000 with tank, the derivative "Pipe Bomb" engines used in the ready to flies (RTF) are bi-directional if they don't have a starter spring on them. Otherwise, the Rotomatic Starter forces them to turn in the standard right-hand direction (as viewed from the cockpit forward).
