Scratch built B-29

My uncles club in San Diego has almost finished this bird.
Hi Joe. Hope all is going well for you and the family. I have a short video of the first flight of the giant scale B-29 we have been working on for almost four years. I turned out at 58 pounds and was timed at about 65 MPH at half throttle. The link gets you to the You Tube clip.

I had one with a 7' wingspan and 6' fuselage once... A guy was rebuilding it for me and I was laid off from there and later he got a divorce... who knows where it is now.

Very nice model and a VERY good pilot! All it needs now is a set of retracts.

It may have had them, most maidens you don't use the retracts as you already have your hands full getting the feel for a new plane and getting the radio trimmed out.
Oddly enough, mine didn't have them.

You can hear a bit of discussion about that on the video, I got the impression from what is said that it doesn't have retracts, but perhaps I heard wrong!
