Re: TIME TO CHOOSE COX ENGINE OF THE MONTH FOR APRIL!
I removed it right after I took those pictures. It should run cooler and maybe a little faster. I thought it looked good, just not necessary. The starter spring looks wrong too, but it is necessary for my poor old fingers.dankar04 wrote:That muffler on RR1 looks so wrong !

Just add 2 or 3 shims and it should run fine.nitroairplane wrote:Looks over propped to me!
Might want to try a Texico head.
Just toss the shims in and re-install the head.

Hmm. I think the pic needs to be resized jason, It wont click open up to full if that is what you were wanting.
Just noticed something on those instructions there. It is saying that BOTH the piston and cylinder are taper fitted for maximum performance. So that opens up the whole debate again about the cylinder and piston being tapered. A mis-machineing on the piston and it having that slight double taper to it like Bernie posted probably was the demise of the piston popping it's top
