Metal tank backs
Picked up 2 metal tank backs for a buck a piece. They have fuel nipples built in. Can I use these with a stunt style tank? Is the Venturi the same size as a stunt back?
Thanks, Jim

Re: Metal tank backs
Yes, but if you plan to stunt-fly, seal off the nipples to prevent fuel outflow.
The stunt and non-stunt versions are quasi-identical.

Re: Metal tank backs
If a 5/64(.078") drill bit will fit loosely through the air inlet, then it is bored to Black Widow specs(.084"). If not, just use your fingers and spin the 5/64" bit through and add a tiny bit of slop. That will get it right in the range of .084". Might as well check the venturi tube while you're at it, and do the same thing if necessary. After plugging the twin fuel nipples, you're ready to run.
