Boom Shake shake shake da room
Tick tick tick tick etc.....

Almost ready for the weekend.....

Raw Power Three Pictu156

Unbelievably 5 grams lighter than it was with the KB'stard up front cos I junked the lead weights thanks to the 09's extra mass.

Even if my 09 gets nearish to Peter Chins December 1962's .28bhp result this will be around 135 watts per pound
ie more than when it had a 3 cell lipo in it.
I can't wait.
Very Happy

Just started her in the garden for a neighbourly treat and leaned it down a little.
BOY
If this doesn't ROG there's gonna be a lot of hat eating going on here tomorrow.
I've just spoken to Cecil B De'Glen my ever 'talented' cameraman who's doing
the honors Rusty
Don't tell Indra but I've been using a starter and it fires even quicker than my
YS160 which only needs a whisper of a twirl.
I'm going to take a 60cc tank plus a back up 90cc so with a little luck we'll
have some decent flight times.
I'll report back tomorrow
Watch this space......

Ok
This is what cameraman Glen does BEFORE we went to the pub!!!!!!!!?

Anyway some film is better than none
Embarassed

Bit blowy today which you can hear in parts of the film.
Mota still very rich but BOY it is a COMPLETELY different animal to the littluns...
It's spinning a little over 16k in this one.
I did lean it down for subsequent flights and it became a moon rocket but
didn't get any more vids.
Probably more tomorrow if it stops raining......

John,

That didn't even look like the same plane. That thing is AWESOME now. It only took about three seconds from lift off to "Where did it go?" Great job!

Cheers Ron.
I've never been a 'marginally' powered kinda guy but I did set
Myself the target of getting this thing up with an 049...with the
09 it's fun and not the chore it was with the 049's.
I hope some of the guys are able to take some of my nonsense
On board to save heart ache.
When I hear of 4 inch cowls and 5 inch props etc I do shake my head.
Hopefully the lads concerned will take a look at my efforts over the last
Few months to see where underpowered aircraft get you.

Hey John, thanks for the adventure. That looks like the ideal power plant for that plane. Tell Cecil to add a tad of nose weight to his camera! lol!
