There seem to be any number of "fools" to be found thus the abundance of "scams".

i dont think this is a scam but maybe just a person who has seen a .010 go for that and assumes theirs is worth it without doing any research.

It still has a $5 rebate yet to be cashed in so it's not that bad!

Re: Dreamer....
Hey, its sales 101, if you don't know what your selling, start high.
I've seen (and I'm sure most have) some really crazy stuff on eBay when it comes to a asking price, this is high, but not really crazy high.

For what?
a 160 dollar tee dee or a Valentine.
Re: Dreamer....
I'll stick with something that I'll actually use on a plane. I have two TD .09's. I'd hate to lawn dart a Valentine!

Re: Dreamer....
i think i've got an explanation for the high price phenomenom on ebay.
when someone wants to buy an object, thats not easily acquirable in any normal store,
they will search large internet retailers, such as amazon. if they can't find anything there, they
turn to ebay. taking into account that there are some people on ebay who don't know
the normal price range of the thing they want to buy, sellers can push their prices, the buyer
assuming this price is normal. i wouldn't turn to any small, specialized store at first.
of course, there are also people who might have a valuable object on their hands,
and are not aware of this, so they put, lets say a thermal hopper, on ebay
for 30$ buy it now.

Re: Dreamer....
I've seen the same thing with stores that have a huge turnover of items. It just falls into the model airplane bin "buy it now" for low rates and clearance for them.

The earliest tee dee .010 and .020 engines came in bubble
boxes.

You got extremely lucky but what he is selling it for is too high a starting bid.
