I just noticed a "2" stamped on the top of the mounting lug on my .049 RC Medallion.

Does it mean anything?

Thanks, Matt

The "2" was a way for folks at the factory to denote what case went with what crank apparently the crank changed at some point. What change did they make with the crank? I dunno.

In the early 70's Cox modified the crankshaft by machining a thicker web. The "2" aided assembly folks by identifying which crankcase assembly required the new shaft.

Yeah that's it. So, the next question is will an early crank fit in a later case?

Did you use Google for the search or "Inside"

I know the Inside search is really bad
