Up for sale is a new in box Cox .051 Killer Bee, the box says .049 Killer Bee. I do not know if this was an early production where an .051 was put into a .049 Killer Bee box, or just a used box. Anyway I am certain somebody with infinite knowledge will correct my post. This engine is new, perfect, and yours for $90 with free shipping to the lower 48. Thank you.Cox .051 Killer Bee from 1996 NIB P3280011

How sure are you that Cox made a .051 Killer Bee?

It's true, Dave, Cox actually did make an .051 KB. The red backplate supposedly distinguishes it from the black backed .049, at least pre-Estes. I'm not sure you can tell from the cylinder on those since it's a shortened type. I have an .051 piston/cylinder with the short SPI piston and there is no distinguishing ring like on mine like the old type .051. pistons. I just have no idea where mine originated though.

Yep, everything on the outside says .051 including the needle. The lower exhaust slit on the cylinder should be slightly deeper/larger than the upper. (this denotes an .051 set)

Here is one I built up from all OEM Cox parts.

You can tell if its a .051 by 2 grooves near the bottom skirt of the piston.
