This was definitely a deserved winner, sleek and shiny but I couldn't help noticing the needle valve assembly.

I would be grateful if someone could contribute some more information about it.

I knew I had seen something like it before and after trawling through some of my engines - I found a Pee Wee with one.

Thanks Ian.
As far as I know, these were assembled by
Joe Klause(KustomKraftmanship) several
years ago. KK is no more, but they do show
up on E-bay, usually attached to an engine.
Besides the unvented Bee backplate and the
PeeWee, I also found a black plastic one with
the 128tpi needle assembly.
