2 New Kits !
I've jumped again! This time I ordered 2 kits from Ray Stone at the "Minnesota Modeler", the Snapper & the Sky Writer. I had the origional Snapper way back in the late 1950's and the Sky Writer will be my first entry into Stunt Flying, Thats if this olebody can take it!
Cant wait to get started building!
Is anyone building or flying any of Ray's planes?

Re: 2 New Kits !
No, but I'm off to Google them and see what they look like.
If I fall in love with either one, it's going to be your fault!

2 New Kits!
I am going to use the 049 Tee Dee in the Sky Writer and I am watching E bay for a Black Widow stlye for the Snapper.
I've been checking the forum for building info since its been so long that I've built any models. I would like to use Jigs or find any tips on building that I can before starting.

2 New Kits
I've jumped again! I feel like a kid waiting for Santa!
Sooo.. Now I am waiting for the 2 Kits, putting the paint on the Dumas Red Lion kit that I am converting from Rubber Power to a Golden Bee that I just ordered from Bernie, made a test stand for the 049 Tee Dee that I got on E Bay and tomorrow I'll be going over to the Jim Walker field in Portland to watch & learn form eveyone flying there.
I am wondering how the Red Lion will fly with the 3" round nose and a 5" - 6" prop? Its an old school Racer similar to the Gee Bee but with a longer body and wing.

Wher ever I go
There I am

The Snapper
The "Snapper" was made way back in the late 1950's/ early 60's and the Cox 049 are a perfect fit!
Check out Ray Stone at the "Minnoseta Modeler" he has several kits for 1/2 A and he makes the kits up on demand, one at a time. The only downside is it takes a few weeks to recieve them. The up side is that he can adjust the kits for each engine.
