Appears to be a Cox "290" engine from an RTF. Many RTF's back then did "one shot" flights.    It's a decent engine perhaps a touch hotter than the Sure Starts. When Cox went to the venturi back plate with mount holes made engine mounting easier. Previous editions used a square back plate, which made manufacturer mounting in the RTF easier, but left the owner of the donor engine to fabricate a mounting system. Goldberg back then offered a nylon using Cox tank mount bolt spacing that bolted to the back of the square plate. One could have also filed off the flanges on the back plate and use 2 pieces of sheet metal bent and drilled to form a mounting system. Older 290 engine is in the front row middle of the photo.
