I've got a similar situation with a McCoy 049 I bought off E-Bay not long ago. I tapped out the NVA. Plan to use the NVA from a Cox Sure Start tank back. JB Weld it in place. Haven't done it yet, so don't advise you to do. I think it will work but experience will tell.

I have one way to possibly fix her Eric. Eyeball the spraybar diameter
and length, and check it against a postage stamp spraybar.
You'll have to press the old one out, and it might take some
mods to adapt the Cox spraybar, or it might be an easy swap.
I retrofitted a Cub .049b with one and it works great.
If you need one, let me know.

The postage stamp assy has the super sweet
128tpi needle threads too.

True. Problem is getting one. The Sure Start back has a coarser thread. I think it is worth a try as they are cheap. At least after doing that, perhaps I'll know better not to do it again. However, without a try, I'd never know. If it does work, then I have something to share with others as an option.dckrsn wrote:The postage stamp assy has the super sweet 128tpi needle threads too.
