The case looks to be from a Space Bug or Thermal Hopper. There is no lip on the case, I would say this could be a 2 intake port cylinder.
Unless its been changed. I don't think this will stay at 2 bucks.

The crank is broke, these don't have a stud, the bolt is part of the crank. It will probably stay cheap, I doubt it will top $10.

Re: theraml hopper parts wanted
It's a early Space Bug or Thermal Hopper case with the small dia. head, so it should be a dual port intake as the Space Bug Jr. had a noticeably lower exhaust ports. It would be perfect if you got a badly damaged plier marked cylinder and corroded case, but to try to build one from this would not be cheep, too many parts needed. I agree, I don't see it going over $10

tboygee is or was a member of this forum. I haven't seen him post much lately, but he has an amazing collection of cox engines, and I routinely see him selling on Ebay. He is quite knowledgeable about Cox engines and I am sure he can answer the question as to whether or not that engine has two or one ports. I agree with Mark. The crank is broken and getting replacement cranks for these engines isn't easy or cheap. I think it is better off to buy a complete engine and fix it up, unless you just enjoy refurbishing engines (I do) and don't mind paying a lot to do it (I don't). That is a pretty nice cylinder, and may be worth the price if you have the crankshaft to replace the broken one. Andy
