Speaking of Dan Sitter, I "bought it now" a Silver Bee from Dan, and today
received an all silver QRZ. Oh well. Opened her up, and she's never seen fuel.
I've bought at least a dozen engines from Dan, and the all turned out to be
unused. Of course I'm sitting on easily 100 5x3.5 safety tip props now and
at least 50 heavy spinner hub nuts and studs. For a while he included 10 hub
nuts, studs and props with each engine.
Never had the slightest hiccup in any transaction.

Yes I also think he has a Bonanza of unused vintage COX engines, this is why I jumped on the one that finally Happdad bought from him on my behalf. If my assumption was correct I will soon have an as new red postage backplate reedie from him, but only thanks to Happydad.

Bob: but you got more than you asked for?  Right? Isn’t a QRZ the next step above a Silver Bee, but with  a muffler ?

Definitely Happydad. My "oh well" was an optimistic one.
I was pleasantly surprised. The QRZ has a cross vented
stunt tank, instead of a 8cc un-vented tank, though I'm
flush with .049 mufflers.
Here she is. I happy.

Bob: maybe we can work out a trade. I need that kind of muffler with the snout out the side. They are impossible to find. PM if interested.

What's up with Dan Sitter? - Page 2 Empty As it turns out....

Post  happydad Fri Sep 04, 2020 6:11 am

Well, sorry to say, for some reason the engine for Andras was cancelled.

I asked why and was told, “I can’t find the engine”. So I guess the one before that one was the last one that they had. I am not sure, but no engine.  Sad ending.

There were more engines of other kinds added, but not the one wanted. So if you need a babe bee or a car engine for $40.00 you know where to go.

I just picked up 3 product engines, 1 with the PT-19 engine mount in black, or maybe a Stuka engine mount? Oh, for $25.00, but I like to clean and rebuild them anyway. I might even have an old scratched up black tank and back plate waiting for it, somewhere.

Dan is on a tear. I've never seen him have so many
engines listed for sale at the same time. It's been growing
for the last few weeks.

I remember 25/30 years ago when I sold on ebay 95% of my model engine collection and most of my HO railroad things. I was NEVER going to fool around with that stuff again. Famous last words.

Anyway, I was always afraid of mixing things up.  Sounds like Dan is facing the same problem.
