Swap meet, ebay and hobby shop finds
One of the clubs I belong to, Skyliners C/L Club, holds a swap meet every January. Picked up some good stuff at the last meet. Picked up a few odds and ends, kits, and these engines I thought you guys might like to see.
Got the other two cruising eBay and from a local shop.
Got a TeeDee 020 with a custom tank from one of the vendors that swaps a lot of engines.
Saw an old Nomad glider with a Peewee 020 on it that must have been in the rafters for a while. One of the guys I fly with in the Skyliners had it on his table. I picked it up and asked how much and he said, "You touched it first its yours!".
So I gracefully accepted. No hope for the old Nomad, but the engine loosened up fine after a good fuel soak.
Got this PeeWee 020 off eBay a while back, Looks like it will be a good one.
There was a local hobby shop that came in and went out of business in just a few years. Saw this TeeDee 010 in a case of used stuff. Asked the guy how much he wanted for it and he told me $20. Almost sprained something trying to get my wallet out. My son claimed it immediately, of course.

I'd take a $20 Tee Dee .010 before a free Pee Wee any day.dckrsn wrote:Nice pickin's Allen.

You guys are really lucky to have swap meets like that, I would have to drive a least 4 hours to get to one.
Nice finds.

I'd have to hop on a plane and travel for 20+ hours to get to one

Yep. It was in Charlestown, but in a different location this year. It was held on the 4-H grounds.
