Re: Old K&B glowhead
Sure thing, glad you can use it. Pm your address and I'll send it in a few days.
Postage is not enough to worry with.

Would it be possible for one of you gents to try this plug in a testors or late wen mac cyl and confirm if it fits. I think it will, but not confirmed.

Hi Phil,
Unfortunately they're slightly smaller diameter than a Cox glowhead and a Cox is smaller than a Testors.

If you need a Testors head they're fairly common on flebay. "gatafish" often has them, although not currently.
Otherwise, MECOA do a glow plug conversion head.

Re: Old K&B glowhead
I dont need one. Its just some info I am collecting.
About a year ago I was doing some glow head\ plug experiments with the wen mac testors engines. I think I am going to have another go at it as soon as some parts get here. Its the K&B Stallion that I think fits, and the picture above is a Tornado, I think.

It sure is, wish it was mine. I posted the photo as that's the plane his Tornado .049 engine likely came from. These planes made by Aurora are some of the most collectable there is.

I have no doubt that it is a match for that plane. The prop and part spinner are an exact match and that is one handsome plane!
I don't have the history of the engine - it was another of my mistaken buys. I thought it was a Cox Ranger!
But it is pristine. I would swear that it has never seen fuel or been run - even the prop is perfect! It makes me wonder how it came to be parted from such a very handsome model!
