nelson plug
I have been experimenting with a galbreath head and nelson plug. I am having trouble with it. The engine runs like its rich, 4 stroking. If I lean it out any it shuts off. The head is sealing good on the shim. Could the HD plug be too cold? The engine runs great with a stock glow head.

Re: nelson plug
Sounds like a too cold plug and/or too low compression ratio for the fuel used.
I haven't used the Galbreth head enough myself, but there are other Nelson plugs to try with too. Merlin makes a few for instance, including a Glow Bee style.

With that combo I've always had to run 3,4,5 gaskets on 25%, the Mouse I sent to Kim had 5.

Re: nelson plug
I'd add 2-3 gaskets, 3-4 total and see what happens? With the present set up can you needle it? Usually when its over compressed it's almost impossible to needle and that sounds like whats happening.
