Pretty impressive!

The only other plane I have seen that performs like that is a bi-slob. Thing is once you see a bi-slob in person it's very apparent as to why it can fly the way it does. It has gobs of rudder and engine offset.

The video, while grainy, didn't seem to show the plane to have any of those features. One of the local hobby shops here has that model hanging from the wall, perhaps I should take another look.

I've seen this sort of flying before and requires a tether on the tail which the pilot controls with the other hand. Pull the tether and the engine pulls hard out against the lines, slowing it down but maintaining control.
