I like Diesel engines and these Taifuns are little beauties.

They were not widely distributed in the UK but they have a distinct appearance that makes these engines recognisable as Taifuns.

I also think that the style influenced quite a few of Ronald Valentines miniatures.

I only have one Taifun, the 2.5cc Tornado. It is an easy starter and a smooth runner.

Hi Christian, These are nice engines. I know from documentation that they were sold by Graupner as was OS and Cox. I discovered your blog a year or so ago and noticed you are a Graupner fan. There is some very interesting info about engines and modeling in general, also food for model RR fans.

Yes, this starter is not so common, I think I will try it on a Tee Dee

I don't have any of those engines yet they are pricy and hard to get a deal on , Nice looking engines Cox45. I do have a couple McCoy diesel (duroglow) but haven't been able to get one started only tried the one with very little comp. the other feels better . That's a wild looking starter navion34 , never seen one of those if you do use it let us know how it works out Rudolph
