wanted Pee Wee .020 RC
Hi everybody
Anyone wanting to sella me a good working Pee Wee with the original RC exhaust throttle?
Well. I would be curious about any Kind of throttled .020, if others exist.
Thanks!
Andrea

Re: wanted Pee Wee .020 RC
We get them in on a recurring basis and I believe we have one on the way presently but also a potential buyer on the waiting list. Ours are always NIB and are generally priced at $169. If you are interested, please drop us a line at support@coxengines.com
Re: wanted Pee Wee .020 RC
Hello
thanks, I just bought a NIB one on eBay.. anyway it's nice to know it's possible to find some from you. I was looking for a good used one to run while keeping the NIB one as it is.. Now I will maybe use the NIB one I bought for running, knowing I can always buy a new one from you - although not for a really cheap price! :-D

OUCH!!!
It used to be (and still is) www.coxinternational.CA but, when we were able to buy www.coxengines.com I made the change to "com" but did not change the URL as I should have.
Thanks so much for pointing that out. It must have been wrong for over a year

Please do not rely on being in a position to supply that engine at any given time. Last year we ended up with perhaps 5 or 6, either from eBay auctions or estate sales. And, yeah, they are not a bargain but we have to pay the big bucks to get them in the first place
Re: wanted Pee Wee .020 RC
Hi Bernie
I was not complaining for your proposed price! They are reasonably expensive, not overpriced. :-)

Re: wanted Pee Wee .020 RC
They are kind of expensive but pricing has crept up by about 50% or more over the last year or two.
We took a pass at buying 30 of the Pee Wees @ $59 a few years ago because we though that pricing was too high

if you have a pee wee Bernie has the rc cylinder and ring or you could make one out of rolled piece of brass !

Hindsight is always 20/20 TD .010 and TD .020 prices have come down some on eBay.

Re: wanted Pee Wee .020 RC
Would a rolled piece of brass really work as a exhaust throttle? wouldn't the cylinder need to be ground to ensure a proper tight fit with the exhaust ring? Is there around some picture of DIY throttle rings of that kind?
Then: should I want to move the Pee Wee exhaust throttle to a Tee Dee .020 what should I do?
Thanks Bernie for your work at keeping Cox things alive and available!

Hi Nut
Nice to read from you, I've seen your video many times, I follow you on YouTube, I know you tried different throttle rings.. what would you suggest for making a throttle for a .020?

Re: wanted Pee Wee .020 RC
Note that is one of the early generation sleeves the openings are too big for low end throttle.
Don't use aluminum for the .020 steel would be better less chance of aluminum wear against the steel cylinder.
I was able to get by with aluminum on the .010 as a weight savings and there is less wear due to tiny engine's vibrations.
Good fit is important and do not match the exact size of the cylinder exhaust ports or you will not be able to idle low enough when the throttle ring is rotated.

Analogue tach
Watching that video I must comment that an analogue tach would be a whole lot easier to read. Exact rpm doesn't mean much when engine speed varies as much as I saw there.

Yes true this vid was at best showing a DIY TD .010 throttle sleeve working
.. and I had the tach set on 3 blade lol so rare epic success
