Re: COX NSM prototype
Oh my. I had not realized what I had in my small collection, but I too had one of the NSM engines. . . . Shoot, wish I hadn't used the parts in other engines.

Zero displacement engine
They could have just left the glow plug off and saved weight.
Amazing how this silly article keeps surfacing from time to time.
Why stop at 55000rpm? Zero displacement; infinite rpm!

I have never seen that article before. That is a long drawn out heap of dung.
Amazing, just amazing. That may be THE April fools joke of all time.

Re: COX NSM prototype
When I read it first I thought that either I should return my university diploma because I have completely misunderstood till today how an internal combustion engine translates the Carnot cycle into mechanical power (my diploma thesis in 1982 was about internal combustion engine diagnostics), or this is an April 1st joke.
After some careful considerations of the article I finally decided I do not return my diploma.
